Global Health Fortnight
Global Health Fortnight is now on! If you’ve always wondered what “global health” means, and what opportunities there are for NZ medical students, then this is the fortnight for you! There are lots of avenues to get involved with global health both in medical school, and out of it. NZMSA is endeavouring to make those opportunities more accessible to our members in several ways.

Lignite campaign
Climate change presents one of the biggest threats to not only global health, but global peace and security. It seems to defy reason that rather than trying to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels, the National government is hell bent on getting more of them out of the ground whether it be offshore drilling or mining. Come along to the Hunter Centre and register your opposition to the Lignite (low grade coal) mining proposal for Southland. MSGA have put together a comprehensive document explaining why this venture shouldn’t be pursued.
