NZMSA is now calling for applications for the position of Conference Convenor 2012.
Conference is the largest event on the NZMSA calendar. This year it was attended by over 180 medical students from NZ and abroad; hosted international speakers including a doctor from outer-space, and had a budget of tens of thousands of dollars.
This is a huge event, and will require months of hard work and dedication from a Conference Convenor. It’s also a team job so you’ll also need a reliable Conference Committee.
There are no specific requirements needed to run for the position, however we think it is hugely beneficial if you’ve organised events in the past.
To apply for the position, you will need to submit a proposal to NZMSA.
Guidelines
- The bid is for the NZMSA Conference Convenor, however, bids should outline a provisional NZMSA Conference Team that the convener will be working with. These people should be as locked-in and committed as possible.
- The NZMSA Conference Convenor is the person ultimately responsible for organising the Conference on behalf of the NZMSA Executive.
- Being the NZMSA Conference Convenor is demanding, so any applicants should ideally have very few or no other extra-curricular commitments.
- Conference bids are due in to secretary@nzmsa.org.nz by 15 July 2011.
