The Vampire Cup

The annual NZMSA Blood Drive – The Vampire Cup – is a competition between NZ medical schools to see who can donate the most blood in a calendar month.

Blood collections have been arranged for most venues around the country, so head along on the advertised day in September and drain that vein. Once you’ve donated blood, head back to this page and register your donation below.

If you’re a regular donor, just head along to your normal venue and register your donation here afterwards.

The winner will be the school with the highest donation rate.

Why donate?

We know you joined medical school because you wanted to save lives – now here’s your chance. Each donation of blood can save up to 3 lives. And let’s face it – that’s probably more than you’ll ever save during your time in medical school! Of course, you can’t forgot that this is also a competition to determine who the most generous medical students in NZ are.

Eligible Period

The dates for the 2011 Vampire Cup have not yet been set.
