NZMSA exec positions are for two years and elections are run regionally at the start of each academic year. The job is reasonably demanding and you need to have time available to share the workload. The satisfaction is immense.

Be the President!

Nominations for NZMSA president are open to all New Zealand medical students. You don’t have to be on NZMSA to run, but some understanding of how the organisation works is obviously helpful. Calls for nominations are made in the second half of the year.

Come to our conference

The NZMSA national conference is generally in the middle of the year and is an unrivalled opportunity to meet students from other schools, compare notes and experience an outstanding academic program. Keep an eye on your email for details about the conference theme, program and application dates.

Conference convener

Do you have a deep love of logistics? Apply to be our conference convener! Applications for the position open late in each academic year to run our annual conference the following year. A position big on commitment but bigger on rewards.
